After a couple of years of struggling to compete with rival manufacturer’s, the HTC One has seen a welcome return to form for the Taiwan based manufacturer. Thanks to the phone’s stylish design and high-end features, the HTC One has clocked up millions of sales and gained a reputation as one of most impressive smartphone models currently available.
The handset instantly stands out on account of its aluminium chassis, making it one of the most stylish, durable and premium feeling devices on the market. Among the phone’s other key features are a 4.7 inch 1080 super LCD display, 4 Ultrapixel camera, 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, Android Jellybean operating system and HTC Sense 5.0 interface. Although this is the company’s flagship smartphone, HTC also offers a number of other high-end models. One example is the HTC Butterfly, the recently announced follow up, the HTC Butterfly S, which are available in particular Asian markets.
It looks like HTC may be in the process of developing something of a hybrid handset between the two models. Pocket Lint has recently reported that HTC may launch a new version of the HTC One, but with a plastic body instead of the aluminium chassis and the same features as the HTC Butterfly S. Of course, this would most likely mean the is device will be offered a much more affordable price tag than the flagship HTC One model, and allow the company to increase its market share. The as yet unofficial device is likely to be launched in 2014, the website reports. Additionally, we’re still waiting HTC to release two rumoured variants of the HTC One. These are the smaller, lower spec but more affordable HTC One Mini, and the phablet style HTC One Max.
