Just a handful of countries across the globe have seen the new HTC Butterfly become available which leaves many others including the UK which are eagerly awaiting its arrival. In China HTC have launched a new accessory for the handset and here in the UK we are are hoping that when we finally see the handset hit our shelves we will also see the new control arrive too.
The new NFC enabled remote control is called the HTC Mini and is designed to work with the new HTC butterfly device. China have just seen the Mini released and it is expected that we will also see it launched here in the UK among other countries where the Butterfly is available. The HTC Mini connects to the handset via Bluetooth which enables the user to make phone calls without having to remove their phone from their pocket. Near Field Technology can also be used to connect the pair and once a connection has been made the Mini can be used as a remote terminal enabling the user to view calender entries from the phone on the Monochrome display as well as messages and call logs. The HTC Mini also offers the user some other very useful features when it is teamed with the impressive HTC Butterfly device. The smartphone can be connected to a compatible high definition Television and the remote will then allow the user to navigate through menus with ease and it can also be used to activate the camera function’s shutter. Included is a handy “find my phone” feature which is built into the remote and can help the user to locate their phone should they be unlucky enough to lose it or have it stolen. We do not yet know how much the HTC Mini will cost and we are also yet to find out what markets will stock this superb new device when it is released. We are hoping to see the release of the HTC Butterfly here in the UK very soon and we are also hoping that when this major smartphone is released by the Taiwanese manufacturer that we will see the impressive new HTC Mini arrive alongside it.
